DONT FORGET TO ENTER!!! With the official release of Breathe Out, I’m having an official Goodreads.com Giveaway. September 15, 2015 through October 15, 2015 you can enter (see link below) to WIN an AUTOGRAPHED copy of Breathe Out. Plus, you’ll also receive an AUTOGRAPHED copy of Breathe In. That’s right. You’ll be getting both book #1 and book #2 of the Just Breathe series. The giveaway is open to everyone in the US, GB, CA and AU.
Synopsis of the series:
Breathe In is about a twenty-four-year-old woman named Emma Peterson who has made sure to have as much control over her life as she can since the death of her parents that occurred when she was sixteen.A fear of loss dominates Emma’s mindset when it comes to relationships of all types, especially when it comes to men and dating.Emma doesn’t date.Rather, she uses men for sex.
She’s created eight golden rules to keep herself at a distance from men, particularly the men she sleeps with; 1. no dating or going out on dates, 2. never let them know where she lives, 3. never pick up a guy in a particular social setting that she may frequently attend or sleep with a man whom she may have the chance of running into on a regular basis, 4. never have a guy over to her apartment for any reason (her gay best friends are the only exceptions), 5. always end things before the guy starts to want more, 6. always use protection, 7. never sleep over at their place after sex and 8. always have more than one exit strategy.
When Emma’s best friend, Maggie, becomes involved with a new boyfriend, Emma’s world changes radically.Maggie’s relationship with Henry moves very quickly; faster than any of her previous relations and Emma is not excited about the newcomers to the group. On top of that, Henry’s best friend, Joe Covelli, is the first man Emma has ever met who makes her call her own rules into question.
Aside from the introduction of Joe Covelli to Emma’s life and the temptation of breaking her rules, Emma also finds herself in a whirlwind of self-discovery. Her past creeps back into her controlled life, forcing her to consider her fear of loss and potential acceptance of love and true happiness.
Odds of winning are based on the number of people who enter. Winners are selected at the discretion of Goodreads. You will receive an email from Goodreads.com the following day if you have won. If you are the winner, your signed copy will be mailed out within one week of the contest ending.
The Breathe Out Goodreads Giveaway is not offered by Goodreads, it is offered by its author, me, Martha Sweeney. You can also connect with me on GR by visiting: http://www.goodreads.com/MarthaSweeney.

If you haven’t seen it already, Breathe In has been reviewed by the wonderful Danielle from Universal Creativity Inc. Danielle reached out to me just before the release of Breathe In, and with a busy college schedule, Danielle took probably most of her free time to begin the journey of Emma’s story. I’ll let the review speak for itself, but I will repeatedly say THANK YOU to Danielle for her kind words and that I’m really excited that she enjoyed the story.
Here’s a little of what Danielle said about Breathe In:
I loved reading this debut novel by Martha Sweeney. She created perfect masterpiece that will continued to be read by many as the years come. Her novel is one that is hard to put down until every last juicy and intriguing page has been read. Perfect plot, stunning creativity, and a romance that will leave you completely undone.
Be sure to stop by Danielle’s blog for many other great book reviews and recommendations. She reads a variety of genres as well as offer writing course and other cool things to anyone who is considering on becoming an author! You can connect with Danielle on Goodreads.com too!
Thanks for stopping by. I look forward to seeing what you think of Breathe In.
Check it out ladies! Whether you have already purchased your own Kindle edition of Breathe In or plan to, you can now request for your eBook of Breathe In to be autographed. That’s right! Thanks to authorgraph.com, I and bunch of other authors are able to offer our eBooks to have a digital autograph and personal inscription for the book.
How does it work?
Requesting and receiving Authorgraphs are free! However, if a reader uses Amazon’s Personal Document Service to receive the Authorgraph on his/her Kindle then Amazon may charge a small delivery fee.
Is the Authorgraph inserted into the e-book? No, it is a separate document. This allows a reader to create a “collection” where she can keep all of her Authorgraphs together.
Do readers need to own a Kindle device to receive an Authorgraph?
No, Authorgraphs are viewable on a wide variety of platforms. Readers can simply enter a regular email address at the time of their request and they will receive an email with links to download a PDF version (viewable in applications like iBooks) or an AZW version (viewable in all Kindle apps on iPad, iPhone, PC, Mac, etc.) of their Authorgraph.
Can Authorgraphs be personalized? Yes! Every Authorgraph goes only to the specific reader that requested it so an author can write a custom message for each reader. In addition, readers can include a short message to the author in order to provide a bit more context for personalizing the Authorgraph.
Within just the first hour or two of the Breathe In Music Playlist Contest, there was a WINNER!
The requirements of the contest were to listen to the songs that were provided (playlist provided below) and to guess which song I, the author, felt matched the personality of Emma Peterson, the main character from Breathe In. One guess only and two possible songs.
The winner, Cassandra, @thebookishcrypt on Instagram and cassandrareadsalot.wordpress.com, jumped on the opportunity and nailed it with her guess. The initial theme song for Emma Peterson from Breathe In is Poison byThem&Us. There was a second song that fits Emma’s personality too, Talking Body by Tove Lo, but Poison was the official song I had chosen.
Poison by Them&Us was not the inspiration to the song, but it definitely influenced certain aspects of Emma’s character and her relationship with men.
I hope you enjoy the songs on the Playlist.
Congratulations, Cassandra! Your book is already in the mail!
Martha
(**Temporarily had to remove the song Poison by Them&Us since I have an early version. It will be back up once the official new release of the song is live.)
