The end of 2017 and the beginning of 2018 have been CRAZY for me on all fronts. MOSTLY good crazy which easily outweighs any of the not-so-good. With that being said…here’s what’s coming soon from me, as in, what will be published next and within the 2018 year!
The Killmores (Killmore #2) the sequel for “Killmore”
I know I’m a little late in releasing “The Killmroes” to you all, but it WILL happen. This second and final part has to be EPIC in all forms and from the few who’ve BETA read for me, well, it’s just that! (fist pump) The book cover is going to cost a bit, so I’m in the process of saving what is being made on book sales to cover the cost. I’m hoping to be working with a very successful book photographer who is WORTH the price. The manuscript is currently undergoing another round of edits so a RELEASE DATE is coming soon. I promise.
Pawn to King (Red Knight #2)
I hit a small snag with the story, but it’s no longer an issue. There’s been some major development with the plot, going somewhere I didn’t expect. Red and Knight are in for a WHIRLWIND of CRAZY on Jaru. Depending on how things go, the final chapter in the series, “Queen to King” will be releasing most likely within a year of “Pawn to King” being released.
I’m hoping to publish an average of 2-3 books a year. I’m slightly behind my timeline, but I’m certain that these books are worth the wait.
Aside from life in general, there have been some other characters (from other stories) DISTRACTING me from finishing the Red Knight Series. No title names will be shared just yet (some are still being considered), but there are a few WIPs I’m bouncing between. A few are standalone while a few are series. Writing would be so much easier if the voices in my head were willing to wait their turn…unfortunately, that’s not always the case.
From where things stand, there are at least 20 (yes, 20 as in twenty, aka 2-0) more books in my head that need to be written. Some are standalones vs others being parts of series. Some series will consist of each book representing a particular character from the first book while others will need to be read in order.
Expect a variety of genres and sub-genres from me. I don’t READ or WATCH (tv/movies) in only one genre, therefore my brain and stories can’t all fit into just one. There will be more romance, there will be more thrillers, there will be some ugly-cries and there will most certainly be science fiction/fantasy. I hope you stay tuned for it all!

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving, a specific day of giving love and thanks. I try to be thankful and grateful every day, finding even one little thing to be appreciative to have in my life. Aside from being grateful for being healthy, having found the love of my life over 10 years ago, and all the people I know who make up my friends and family, TODAY is my day of saying THANKS to you the reader!
May 2015 was the month I published my first book. Several took their chance on a new indie author and made my release thrilling beyond belief. There was little I knew about publishing a book, and because of many of you, I’ve grown in so many ways with my storytelling overall (including editing and formatting).
Since then, the ride hasn’t stopped as I’ve learned so much more about being an author, the publishing industry, and the book community. The book sales and reviews are AMAZING, don’t get me wrong, and of course, I’d love for those numbers to explode well beyond that of what they already are. However, the most AMAZING thing to come out of all of this experience for me is the many new people I’ve met (in person and online), the friendships that have fostered around reading great stories, including books that aren’t my own.
Though I’m an author, sometimes putting my own personal thoughts and feelings into words is not always easy. Sometimes finding the right word or phrase escapes me but is better spoken through each of my characters. Many of these characters I have written, or will soon write, will reflect my utmost gratitude, appreciation, and love for the friends I’ve made during this journey. It might be their name, something that they do, or perhaps even something they’ve said or done that I’ve connected with in some way that will be shared within my stories. You, the reader, are part of my inspiration to writing real people even in a world of fiction.
Though I can’t thank everyone individual (because I’m sure I’d unintentionally leave someone out), I would like to say a personal THANK YOU to the following people who have played a very special role in my life as an author, in no particular order: my husband, Frank & Phyllis, Lucine & Brian, Nicole Strycharz, Danielle Urban, Laurie Breitsprecher, Diana Esqueda, Cassandra Carpio, Elisa Marie Hopkins, Letha Hanover, T. R. Cupak, Latisha Johnston, Mandy Saial, Sandra Ferrufino, Jo Cooper, Rachael Organ, Martha Boss, Ace Gray, Mandy Dawn, Melly Sutjitro, Giovanna Cruz, Jessi Elliot C.J. English, and so many more. Even if your name did not appear, it does not mean I’m any less thankful for you in my life. These people have stood out in my heart and mind in one form or another to be specifically mentioned. Again, THANK YOU all, from the bottom of my soul. ~Martha
So, I created a quick little video for anyone/everyone to get to know me a little better as an author, what readers have said, and what books I’ve published or have had the honor to be featured.
I started my writing journey after helping my husband publish his novel, The Harem. Since then, I’ve been hooked on writing and sharing stories of strong, independent women. I hope to deliver a message (or two or three) in each of my novels that will cause readers to think or feel differently. I hope to inspire and empower.
You can find my books on most platforms as both ebooks and print.
I’m so excited to reveal the cover for Hot Georgia Rein. This is my first official standalone, full-length novel. ARCs will be sent out to those who signed up by the end of July or the beginning of August.
Cover Design was done by me just like all the rest of my novels. 🙂
First loves don’t last, not like you think they will when you’re in the beginning or middle of them. First loves are fun and painful, giving you the beauty and darkness of life in a single relationship, breaking your fantasies like a twig and making you realize that life is not all sunshine, sparkling fireflies, and rainbows. No, it’s not pretty at all. First loves build you up, and just when you think that life can’t get any better, they shatter into a million raindrops, making you see how life really works. First loves crush you, ruining you for anyone else.
That’s what Ivy Lynn Abney and Henry Lee Rein have battled with since things ended between them about three years ago. Neither of them have spoken and are still hung up on what occurred. They both have regrets and the love they once had for each other never really went away. They were young and wanted different things. Have their wants changed enough to allow their love to reignite? Can first loves become second loves even with secrets?
With several books under my belt, I figured that giving away my first novel ever published, “Breathe In,” is a great way to say thank you to everyone who has supported me as well as to invite new readers into the crazy world of reading! I have eight golden rules when it comes to men:
1. No dating or going out on dates.
2. Never let them know where I live. Lie if I must.
3. Never pick up a guy in a particular social setting that I may frequently attend. Or, never sleep with a man whom I have the chance of running into on a regular basis.
4. Never have a guy over to my apartment for any reason. My gay best friends are the only exceptions.
5. Always end things before a guy starts to want more.
6. Always use protection.
7. Never sleep over at their place after sex. Once we’ve finished, or in most cases, they’ve finished, dress and leave.
8. Always have more than one exit strategy.
